The E P Birthplace purchased the wood frame dwelling that was once the original Assembly of God Church, where the Presley family worshiped in the 1930's and 40's. They moved the building to the Birthplace Park, and now made significant progress in the renovation of the building . The roofing is complete, and nearly all the exterior. You still cannot see much. In this photo, they placed a fence around the church to keep people out of the construction zone. The fence will be removed when all the work is done.



The church sits adjacent to the 1979 chapel. The first entrance road into the park was moved in order to place the church buiding in this location.
